I believe that Freedom Arms also recommends the Rem 7.5 for use in its 454 Casull revolvers.

I first started using a few in my AR15. I had no trouble. Guy was sell his reloading supplies. I bought 6000 or 8000 Megtech 7 1/2 srp. I paid 10.00 a 1000ct. Dont know anything about them. I thought they would work in my 700 223 rifle. When I bought the Remington primers all the guy had was a few cci Winchester Remington. I bought the Remingtons.
Plus the price was a little cheaper. I have always like federal primers too.

I use Federal 205M and CCI BR4's in the .17AH and Rem 7 1/2's in the .17Rem.
No problems with cup piercing in either rifle.

Just must be going to the wrong shops, since Federals are hard to find here. I use mostly WSR and WSP, but have also a stock of Rem 7.5 and CCI BR4 for the 17s. Won't use or buy Rem 6.5 from bad experiences piercing primers. I do keep an adequate supply and make sure I have a rotating stock.

I could have bought cci. But I have always picked federal over cci. I didn't know Remington was a mag/match primer. I have several 1000ct on hand in Remington. Is the magtech small rifle primers very good?

If it is the 7.5 small rifle, they are one of the best for the high intensity cartridges.

I have no scientific evidence to support my thoughts here but I have always used Federal primers and prefer using the Gold Medal Match primers.

The only rifle I use different primers for is my 17 Remington and on that rifle I use the Remington 7 1/2.

I have other primer brands I have acquired along the way but they just sit in the cabinet.

Federal primers readily available here in my neck of the woods at present but it has not always been that way.

Yes the magtech primers r small rifle primers 7 1/2. Couldn't pass them up for 10.00 per 1000.
