Even loosing 10 to 20% when fire forming the Rem brass it is still way cheaper than Lapua, unless you guys are getting a better deal on Lapua than we do. 100 17Fb are about $50, 100 Lapua 223 are $95. 100 new Winchester 223 are $28.
My question, was the Rem brass that much short before you FL sized them? |

Dean, where are you buying Lapua 223? I'm getting mine from Sinclair's for about $56/100. I would agree that IMI would be best, if you can get it.

Smokin Joe
I am in Canada so thoings tend to be a small amount more expensive than in the States but just yesterday I did find a place up here selling Lapua 223 for $62/100. While much better than the previous $90 it is still double the price of new Winchester, though it is about the same price as factory 17FB. Once fired Federal, Rem, American Eagle etc 223 is available widely for about $60/1000, so for real cheap brass that path is hard to beat. |
