Default Scope caps

Any ideas on scope caps or ccvers for a low mounted scope ? Roughly an 1/8” or so of clearance between scope and barrel . This is on a CZ 527 using Warne mediums. I like the low mount but can’t find any caps for protection . Thinking about trying to sand a flat spot on a cheap Butler creek. Gonna have to be real thin to work though . Anybody have this issue? And what’s your thoughts?

I've notched the bottom out of Butler Creeks in the past and added a wrap of electrical tape to hold them on if they are loose after being notched. But I HATE scope caps.

I also do not like scope caps. Invest in some good rubber scope covers.

Are you referring to neoprene scope coat style covers ?

Yes, they work very well and fit nice. On and off so easy. Plus the protection of bumping scope.

If it's moisture protection you are looking for, a sun shade up front and a Butler Creek in the back works pretty well.
