Default Tac .20 load data for Berger 35/H322 needed

Happy holidays!

Just about to load up some cartridges for my Tac .20 Cooper Phoenix

Anyone have any Tac .20 load data for the combination of Berger 35s and H322?

Thanks!

John

Default Not sure on H-322......

If you have some X-Terminator I could help you.
I think an old SCN has an article that lists a load for H-322,I'll see if I can find it.

Default H322

just started working up loads for the 20 tac in 35 bergers. Started at 24.0,24.3,24.5 grains of powder 3700-3800fps. 24.5 average velocity for a ten shot string was 3800 no signs of pressure no pierced primers bolt easy to open. I'm going to try to bump up the charge slowly and see what happens. The 24.5 groups were very good at a hundred yds.

Default 20 tac loads

One thing I have learned on the 20tac. is if you are shooting the BT. bullets hornady ,noslers they have to be kissing the lands for decent groups the bergers and sierra 39's can be off the lands. I load theas .010 off and have been getting excellent groups. Also benchmark has worked great for the 39 sierras.

Yote 10, what powder are you using with those 35gr. Bergers? H322?

Interested to see if you crack the 4000fps mark as is usual with 32 gr bullets.

Thanks,

John

Default 35 bergers

just got back from the range on load development with the 35 bergers and H322. 25.5 grains of h322 chronied average was 3960 high was 4002. very nice tight group as well as the 25.0 grain load of H322. loaded some 40 bergers with H322 started at 24.0 grains up to 25.0 grains chronied at 3800 avg. with the 25.0 grains. nice tight groups again measureing .285-.385.I can give you the exact fps avg,hi,lo, etc. on each load if you want let me know.
I am very impressed with H322 this is going to be my main powder for the 20 tac and benchmark a close second the 39 sierras love benchmark I have not tried H322 with them yet. also my 222 rem loves H322 with 24.0 grains pushing the 50 berger around 3400 if memory serves me right.

John, I tried H322 early on in my 20 Practical which has essentially the same case capacity as the 20 Tactical. It didn't perform all that well in that I started to see pressure signs before reaching top velocities. But as everyone knows there have been many different lots of H322 that have been all over the place burn rate wise. My stuff was made in Australia before the newer Australian made "Extreme" series came out.

But if you have access to N133 I use 26 gr. for the 35 Bergers. It shoots tiny groups at 4025 fps with no pressure signs at all. It seems to be a mild load and it seems I just can't miss with it. I went higher BTW but the accuracy of this load is so good I am happy as can be.

Thanks for the info guys.

My friend Pat Cameron and I loaded up some cartridges with 25 and 26 grains of H322. I ended up settling on 25 grains. Would like to chrony it but don't have one... I expect it's at or just over 4000 fps.

Thanks for your help.

John
