They must be using .224 cal. I don't think .17 or .20 would work on elk.

Don't kid yourself they WILL work on elk, so will a 22LF. (yep, I did once)

Might get a bit expensive with the wrong witness. Re: "be careful out there!"

Honestly guys, I don't think Jim ever even looks at this page any more. He is into small bore shotgunning here lately though, using a 28 ga I believe, mostly for clays and waterfowl.

They are bow hunting, so not exactly small caliber. I haven't talked to them yet, no idea what size, etc. You know as much as I do at this point.
