Default 20 VT no turn neck?

I have a 21st Century neck turning setup that works really really well. However, I hate the neck turning stage.

Has anyone tried a reamer with a no turn neck?

Is it possible, to use a no turn neck reamer in a chamber to open it up for no turn brass?

jimreed1948, the orginial TK reamer was for a no-turn .232" neck using Remington .221 Fireball brass. I've made hundreds of 20VT pcs out of that brass with no problems. I've also made a lot of 20VT brass from Lake City. I've always had to turn those necks. If you use Lapua brass you will probably have to use a different reamer with a larger base line for the Lapua brass. PTG use to make that reamer also. I believe it was called a .20VT Lapua reamer. I've even made 20VT brass from new WW 204 brass but you'll need to turn the necks also. Good luck on your decision. 410gauge

Jim, I think the answers to your questions are probably yes and yes. Best of all worlds ideally would be to make brass from Lapua and turn necks for your desired clearance, but it is a bit of work even with great equipment like you have.

410 is spot on in the difference between the 2 - 20VT reamers if you want no turn.

Default Neck turn

Jim Kobe in Bloomington Mn has made me three 20 VT rifles. I make my brass out of Rem 221 FB brass. I’ve never neck turned any brass for these rifles.

I used some fired Remington .221 Fireball brass re formed into the 20 VT.
The necks were all over the place. Had to turn necks and didn't care much for the process.
New Fireball brass was pretty even so I had a reamer cut with a .234 no turn neck. New and re formed brass worked like a champ.
