Default 17 Ackley hornet

Really enjoying this rebarreled CZ 527 however seating bullets is a hassle. What w/ aging eyes, fumbling fingers, etc., I'd like to find a competition seating die like I have for my 22 Hornets. The one I have is made by RCBS and has a window on the side that you just drop the bullet into. Any advice on a source for a similar die will be appreciated as internet searches have not yielded results.

Look here. Vickerman reloading dies - 99designs-5581bc7d9e8ae. He makes them. you will need his extended shell holder.

I've used a lot of Hornady dies, that have a sliding sleeve rather than a window to keep the bullets relatively straight while seating. Hornady also makes a micrometer adjustment that can be fitted to any of their dies. Not quite as nice as the competition seater, but still very effective for only a few bucks.

You can use a Wilson seating die where you drop the bullet in the top
of the die when you remove the seating stem. I have seen quite a few
successful BR shooters seat bullets this way and sometimes do it myself!
Have to use arbor press with the Wilson die!

Joe - the instructions with my Wilson hand dies said not to do it that way due to possible excessive wear, but you could.

Can't you just go to the eye doctor and get glasses?

Leopold Scopes, Forester reloading equipment and Victorianox knives.

I video recorded all of my Highpower Rifle matches. Pretty soon I am going to watch them all in reverse order so that I can watch those F Class guys GO HOME and leave us alone so that we can shoot Highpower Rifle.

To Daryl's comment, Wilson does say not to drop bullets down through the top of their die. I asked several shooters about that and they said the convivence of doing it far out weight the problem of any wear. A copper bullet going through a stainless steel die cause wear, really! (their comment).
If you have a Wilson seater die and you try this it is pretty slick. Again, you use an arbor press to complete the seating.
