Default CA lead free

Just for my own information since I don't live in CA. What is the ruling
on shot gunning and lead shot? Steel shot only like migratory water fowl
or?
Never seen it in print so I ask the question.

Steel shot on waterfowl has been in place for a couple years already. You could host quail, dove and small game with lead, unless you were on wildlife or dfg property, then lead regardless.
As of July 2019 non-lead will be needed on all shooting of game and non=game classed animals in the whole state. This will be for all rifle, shotgun and handgun hunting. we must save the Condor you know and other raptors that feed on lost animals/fowl or offal that previously was shot with lead bullets or pellets. I wonder if they will prosecute criminals if they shoot people
using lead bullets or is that against their constitutional rights!!
The old death by a thousand cuts is alive and well in CA.

That stupid dinosaur has been trying to go extinct for decades just let it go....

If you ask me the lead ban is just back door gun control... They know the casual hunter won't pay what non lead ammo costs Wait until they say it applies to shooting ranges ....now where my tin foil hat.

Mntn Goat I believe you are right on about it being another way to eliminate gun ownership in California. They are having more success taking small bites at a time.

Not too long ago they transplanted groups of Ca. Condors to some nearby states. I fear many of those states will soon be subjected to the "Condor Syndrome" we live with in CA.

One of the "Dangerous Democrat Hopefuls" (Kamala Harris) made a comment on TV not too long ago when she announced her run for Pres. that "we have a lead problem in this country".
Everyone with firearms is a target for their long term agenda.

Thanks,,,, Dave

She better broaden her statement then on "Lead" because many states are now having real issues with lead contamination in their water supplies, even many schools. Just think how that will effect the health of children and others. Ms. Harris better start a ban on water drinking. Bill K
