It is improving a lot, and I have got out for the squeeks and about 17 rock chucks, so far, on about three outings now that the weather has warmed and sun out.
However the squeeks shooting is already slowing, as the wet weather has really made the alfalfa grow fast and unless those little critters stand you just can not see them. But it will turn on again, when they make the first cut.
So for now, it will be a few more safari's for the rock chucks in the rim rocks. And some more coyote calling. Bill K

Excellent Bill. I've got mountain diggers and chucks on the Agenda. I haven't specifically went out to shoot squeaks for a few weeks now. Honestly, I prefer to walk about and shoot a few dozen critters vs sitting on a wheeline all day shooting hundreds of squeaks anyhow. Variety is the spice of varmint shooting.....so they say I guess that's why we have so many rifles to choose from. Gotta keep it interesting.

Know what you mean. A few good chucks are always more fun, in the long run, than sitting on a swivel bench and squeeks. I only do the squeeks shooting for a hour or two then stop, as it become boring and routine.
WHere as the chucks and other critters roaming around and taking a few is much more enjoyable overall. Bill K

Bench shooting rats, walkabout rat shooting, any kind of chuck shooting.....I like 'em all!

Besides, this gives us excuses for rifles for "every purpose", right?

Don't get me wrong Rick. So do I, like most here, thousands of pill are sent to various critters each and everyday and year. Love all of it, if it includes a rifle handgun or scattergun. Bill K

It is just that I don't sit all day in the pivots at a bench, as many do. I enjoy the bench and pivots and the squeeks, but for a all day sit, even with lunch break, etc.

We have an area, kinda similar, but we use the quads. Need them to get across the creek and the zone is about 3 miles long.(seems that way- getting too old to walk it)
