Default anyone tried the .204 39 gr tnt bullets

looks like a cheap bullet to shoot. if it is at all like the .224 tnt I would be a great bullet.

I tried them and they shot pretty well, after I worked up a load for them, with CFE 223 in a couple of my 20 calibers. However I passed them onto another party on this site, as I am switching over to all non-lead, with Nosler and Hornady, due to my commie state going non-lead in July-2019.
Think you will like them, they compare well to the Sierra 39 grain. Bill K

I just tried some in a 20 Tactical, the loads I tried shot pretty good, where pretty light loads in a new build, for the money I think not bad at all. I was getting 1/4" to 3/8" groups.

I haven't shot the 20 cal but have the 22 cal. Those shot great at 100 in 3 rifles but when I took them out to 300 yd, they weren't so great. 100 yd groups can be misleading.

I have been shooting them for several years now and it is a great coyote bullet. Use it in my 20Tac and 20Prac. I get extremely good accuracy using 8208 and A2520 powders and they really hammer a coyote...you definitely know when you hit them by the sound. They cannot be beat for the money...every so often you can find them on sale for less than $10 a box.

I loaded 500 of each: 32 and 39grs in the VT.
Only fired about ten of each to get a load figured out.
Damn the health problems. That's all the M-38 has thru it
so far.

Glad you asked as I've wondered how they'll do on p/dogs
or coyotes under 200yds.

George I can't find a .204 32 tnt anywhere, they only list a 39.

Just more good things to say from me. I use them in my 204 Ruger and get excellent accuracy and performance on coyotes.

first thanks for all the responses. well I got my 39 gr tnt a few days ago and the verdict is in. shot 2 groups, one in the 2's and the other in the three's. velocities were in the 3650 and 3720 fps range with benchmark powder. 26 gr was the highest I went and it was the 3720 fps avg. when reloaded the primers were still good to go.
