WTB: 20 Tactical Brass
I am looking for some new 20 Tactical brass which is no longer produced. I bought what I have from Todd Kindler. If anyone out there has some they would part with I am in need of some more.
Many thanks in advance, Ken |

Maybe contact Todd Kindler and see if he still has any Redding Tac 20 form dies in stock, and if he does, you can make your own Tac 20 brass from 223 Rem brass.
http://www.woodchuckden.com/tac20.aspx I bought a form die from him in ~1999-2000 when I first got my initial Tac 20 rifle, and I'm still using IMI brass that I formed at that time. Don't believe any of the internet hype which says that you have to fire form Tac 20 brass. Die formed brass is about 95% formed with just a couple of slightly rounded shoulder angles that are not fully shaped, and you can use any Tac 20 load to finish the job on the first firing. I'm still using my "full strength" fire form load as my accuracy load in both of my my rifles. Just a suggestion........ -BCB

20 Tac Brass
Thanks BCB. I have been looking into forming my own and it looks like what I'll be doing. There is no original 20 Tac brass out there.

I'm going to post some IMI 223
When I return from trip.
I will give you first right of refusal: for AR, semi auto fired. 22 cents per shipped. Abt a thousand available. I'm making VarTarg, 20 Prac, maybe Tac and 223AI out of the extras. |

In my own experience 20TAC is easily formed using a good FL die (not a bushing die). I have done a couple hundred this way using IMI brass which is dimensionally similar to Win, LC, etc but not Lapua. Necks on the Lapua are thicker and you would need to check to see if turning is required for your rifle. By forming them yourself you get to set the headspace nice and tight to get ideal FF. Go for it, have fun, learn something new and be safe above all.
