There's an outfit in Denver, M W Reynolds who I believe has an export license. Or maybe just import? Don't know if they could help, may not be worth their while. Just a thought.

I believe Corlane Sports in BC had an import licence lodged with Pac-Nor, though they would doubtless want their cut if they did the importation on your behalf.

I know that Peter Dobson of Hirsch Precision is a Pac-Nor dealer up here in Canada because I just ordered a .17cal barrel through him.

FWIW, I doubt a Canadian importer is going to help import a discounted barrel. With that being said if any Canadians find something out that would make getting in on a potential group buy a possibility I would be in for one barrel for sure, maybe two.

Sounds like several would be interested in a pac-nor group buy. I was hoping to find someone to head it up.

Tks for the suggestions guys.

All the problems are on the US side of the line - as-in their charges for businesses exporting without the proper licensing.

Canada Customs only considers the 'part' relevant if the part is "FINISHED" according to the local customs. If the part is not finished, ie: a barrel would need to be contoured, chambered and threaded to be a barrel - thus is is a machined part as Pac-Nor used to ship to me prior to the whole ca-fuffle of problems.

With the new law of an increase in parts without import licensing being needed, to $500.00, as I understand it, now even finished parts might be now legally imported into Canada.

Good to know that there are businesses up here who deal with Pac-Nor, however, if possible, I'd rather deal with them personally.

Same over here Daryl, a blank is not a barrel.
Ken.

tks for that Ken - good to know - I wasn't sure - in the past, I got Pac-Nor to contour - no threads, no chamber - they called it a contoured blank on the web site, I think, and machined part in the declaration.
