Default Best Small Caliber Powder Funnel

I shoot a .172 case similar to the .17 Predator. I am looking for a powder funnel that will sit on top of the case, unsupported, so that I can easily keep my place in my loading block. I would also like something with a little longer neck and for the neck or the drop tube to be clear so I can see if the powder bridged before I pull the funnel off and dump a charge in my reloading block.

What are you all using?

I use 'Satern custom machining' funnels. Aluminum with a brass seating piece. Very nice.

Default Best small caliber funnel

I also use the Satern funnel. They make a 17,20,22 and others. Also check site sponsors, CRT has some very nice ones also. Bill K

Bill K, do you have a link for the CRT funnels or a link for the site sponsors?

Default CRT Funnel

Here's a shot of my CRT powder funnel and one of Brad's loading blocks filled with 20VT cases.

The tip that comes into contact with the case neck is caliber-specific, screws on, and allows a nice enough fit to stand on the case, unsupported. I've got tips in .17, .20 and .22 cal. The main tube also screws onto the funnel itself, and allows either a long or short drop-tube.....very neat arrangement and quite well made.

Here's a link to CRT's site:
