20 caliber bullets
Anyone making true BR quality 20 caliber bullets?
I can get the normal, garden variety bullets easily. Would like to try some really high quality bullets in my 20 VT. Thanks. Jim |

20 cal Don Unmussig
I bought some of his 20 cal 57gr and some 48 gr 20 cal also. Both shot well in my 20-250 9 twist. Good turn around service. His number is 804=320-1165

Did load development last weekend for 35 grain Berger bullets in my 20 VT Cooper. The load was of two powder charges at four different seating depths. The last groups listed below is at full jam with each group prior .007 off the next one.
18.1 grains of H4198 produced three shot groups of: .073 .178 .357 .086 18.6 grains of H4198 produced three shot groups of: .393 .348 .457 .199 Would post a picture or PDF but I can't seem to get it to allow that. The 18.6 results are typical for this gun using Hornady and Sierra bullets. The 18.1 charge is off the charts...better than I have ever done during load development with a 6PPC rifle. Clearly these Berger bullets can shoot. |
