I'm trying to get a reamer made for 17VHA with a .197" neck, 40° shoulder, and a tight chamber design overall. 0.3045" shoulder, 0.3125" at the case head. Tapered throat from 0.1730" to 0.1725", 0.035" freebore.
Is ir possible to get some guidance? My goal here is twofold, accuracy and long case life. Hutch. |

Without measuring, off the top of my head I can tell you that base measurement is too tight. The brass I have all measures .3115 to .312 just above the extractor grove.
I have a normal shoulder reamer and getting a 35 deg made, they are both .314, fwiw. I'd get the brass you want to use and send it to the reamer maker of your choice and go from there.

Hey, since you and I are doing the same thing essentially would you mind lowering your cost by 50% and splitting it if our reamer designs are close enough ?
