How big is he? Big enough for me. He goes to the food bank though. No buck meat for me. YMMV.

Waiting until he gets bigger is not an option. Where I hunt, the odds are he'll wind up road kill before the rut is over. Next to humans, when it comes to the opposite sex, they've got to be the dumbest animal on the planet. I watched a nice buck trot out of a cut field, right out in to traffic across three lanes in the morning rush hour looking straight ahead totally oblivious to his possible impending doom. Vehicles just stopped and watched him until he reached the woods on the other side of the road. I thought to myself, he doesn't know how lucky he is not getting hit.
