I’m not wild about the look of a Pic rail, but find them to be the pragmatic option. On some of our ARs I have big scopes for shooting prairie dogs and such at long range and will swap out to a 1.5-5x32 that has been previously sighted in for predator calling or to a red dot and back with POI shift.
