Default Boring Browning 223

Something about the sweet little A bolt Micro Medallions gets my heart pumping.

Once I laid hands on my first one, in a 22 hornet, I "fell in love."

I recently picked up a "minty" early 90's version in the boring old 223.

Mounted a weaver new design grandslam 5-20x50mm with varmint EBX reticle on top...........in the included rings/bases.

Installed an "Ernie the Gunsmith" trigger spring which brought the pull down from 4.5lbs to 2 1/8lbs crisp......no other adjustments needed.

Torqued the front action screw to 30 inch lbs and rear at 25.

Headed to the range after a good bore cleaning.

Initial 100yd testing with 50 gr speer TNT's and H335 in Virgin LC Brass were favorable.......as expected.

Excited to dial in the load and have several other bullets I want to test from 40 grain Nosler Varmageddon HP's to 52gr Speer HPs.

This little beauty has a date with some local yotes'.

Too pretty not to hunt with it.

Man, that is a nice rifle, should be very good on the coyotes too.

Thanks guys....I'm still excited about it......even in the Vanilla 223. Sometimes the rifle makes the caliber more palatable.......if I'm lucky enough to burn out the barrel someday....its getting a 222 tube screwed on it.
I'll be passing this beauty on to my eldest son......hopefully no sooner than 50 years from now
