That is what I thought I had read somewhere.

The 20-222 has Lapua brass that is reasonably priced and available. There are never any problems with feeding or extraction unlike the 221. If you're running it as a single shot it's less of a concern.

I must have missed it... Lapua quit making 221FB brass? Just during the craziness, or for good?

Not sure, it just says "This case is no longer in active production." on Lapua's website https://www.lapua.com/cases/221-remington-fireball/

Well the project is back moving forward Tenacity shipped the action and Mullerworks is sending a 11" twist barrel to the smith per everyones recommendation on twist. Thanks. I still have not decided on caliber but have 221 Lapua brass and 204 brass and dies so still between the 204 now and the Vartarg. If I find Vartarg dies it will win!

Well got to start breaking in the barrel yesterday thanks for all of the advice. The 11" twist did the trick even at 900ft above sea level with the 40gr V-Maxes. The postings to try 2200 was spot on for my gun, 3300fps and shooting in the .3s to start. Haven't even gone to my Lapua brass yet. What a cartridge!
