Default area

Larry ,
I actually live in southern Alberta ,Canada .

Large areas of mixed farming and pasture lands . WE have had a long winter for are area . Generally we see little snow as we get what is called Chinook winds .They are winds that come off the mountains and as they lose their moisture the air warms up and produces warm winds in our prairie region.

Looking forward to do my part for global warming by reducing the amount of gopher flagulans (farts) by keeping their numbers in check .One must be one with nature.

Chris,

Your dedication to keeping global warming at bay by ecologically sound means is admirable. Bravo!

I drove up north to Modoc county in California to personally survey the situation with Belding Ground Squirrels. They were just starting to come out. I did manage to HMR a few and to get some neat pics.

Have to go back up there soon.

Must be nice not having much snow. I'm in the Prince Albert are and we have more than enough. I had to shovel out my BBQ yesterday to do some burgers. I can't wait to get out for some crows and gophers.

A17 Shooter

Oustanding pictures,
The fellow wearing the "White sports coat", was he the Long Tailed or Short Tailed varity? There is both around there.

By any chance was this the upper end or lower end of the valley. I was going to make a scouting trip over there but the back road pass was snowed in by the latest snow we just had, creats about a 200 mile farther drive the long way.

Tia,
Don

the only thing we have "baaaaack" around here are snow storms! got pounded last weekend. we did have some thawing yesterday though. the first time in 4 months! 37 degrees!!! by time you guys need new barrels again, we will get to finally play with the little critters again. sunday i will be working up a ground squirrel load for the 17 mink after church lets out. this will likely only make me itchy and anxious since my coyote hunting will cease this week.
