In the day Dupont 4198 was the go to powder for Geraci, Fowler, Hall, and other hot BR shooters. I bought 8 lbs but mostly used 4895, Ball C, and RL 7. Still have about 6 lbs of that can. Since I bought into the 22 and 6 PPC's I use 133, 322, and 748. The new LT 32 sounds interesting might try some in my PPC's. Stephen Perry |

6x47
I had a 6x47 imp built on a stubbed t/c contender .It had a hart bench rest barrel 20 inch 3/4 at the muzzle. A break action contender should not shoot that good. Under a 1/2 was the norm . I sold it this past year just from lack of use a real great cal. and easy to load for tks Ken

Stu Harvey one of my Calif smiths competed with a 6x47 IMP. Hendrickson reamer modified body taper 40 deg shoulder. He was a regular winner on the NBRSA SW Region benchrest circuit. Stu chambered several of my 22 PPC barrels and made his own bullets. A throw back to the late 50's sometimes crank full time smithing knowledge. Stu is still shooting benchrest occasionally with his 6x47 IMP. Stephen Perry Last edited by stephen perry 1; 05-27-2013 at 11:34 AM. |
