22 Dasher on the left and a 20vt on the right.

Now those look very interesting Adam. Would love a 20vt in one of my contenders, but do not believe that frame would handle it.
Really do not want to buy a Encore, which would. Bill K

Those look like a hoot! I get a kick outta handgun varminting. I had this one I sold in a fit of stupidity, .22 Hornet Anschutz Exemplar.

Accurate too, 5 shots at 100 yards. Not bad for a 10 inch barrel, sub 1/2.

This is another of those inaccurate HMR's, another Anschutz and another 10 inch barrel.

First day I got it, first trip to the range, 6X scope.
Group on the left at 50 yards, the one on the right at 100, yanked one high and right in both groups.

Longest gopher with it to date is 156 yards.

Nothing like that .22 Dasher or that VarTarg but still a lotta fun.
That .20 VarTarg sure blows my hair back, I'll bet with that brake and it's weight it doesnt kick any more then that .22 Hornet did.

I won an XP100R several years ago in 22-250. Never fired it. Was in college and couldn't afford a scope. Then I got in a bind and needed the $. Sold it for $300 and now I'm kicking myself in the butt for doing that!

Contenders have been factory chambered in .222, .223, .221FB and the various TC/U cartridges over the years, so why not .20VT?

I believe that the 20vt is an option in contenders. The 221 FBI sure is. I had one for years. Check with MGM barrels.

Default small cal pistols

Bill K; I have a 20 VT 16.25 long and is the most accurate contender I have.

Any one that has shot it just can't believe a contender pistol could do that.

It's been one of my favorite guns of all time, a real good Pdog and squirrel killer.

So Bill K if you like shooting Contenders a 20 VT is a great one, I bet you'd love it.

Wow I've became a pretty good spending mentor. Ha Ha sgtg

Default long range pistol

rickiesrevenge; That is one project I've considered for a while now (a long range pistol, XP or striker ).
25 years ago you could buy all the xp's or strikers you wanted now they are a little harder to get $$$.
A left handed Savage or Remington from Northland Shooters registered as a pistol would work. sgtg

jarrett built 6br xp-100 and it's a tack driver. it likes 80 gr sierra single shot pistol bullets. so far it has taken 3 deer, 210 yds, 265 and 155. 3-12 burris helps a bunch when it comes to long range accuracy

it now has a quiet brake on it which helped a bunch, never ever shoot one of these hand cannons without hearing protection. ask me how I know but do so loudly.
20 vt in a contender should be a no brainer, I had a 222, 221fb and a 223

80 gr sierra 2920 fps

with brake
