218bee, Don't overlook RL7 as a powder either. Bill K has been shooting the 20 VarTarg much longer then myself. When I got my rifle I tried darn near everything and RL7 performed the best. Velocity is not as fast as you'll find with CFE BLK or AA2200. But it's a very accurate powder with low pressures. One rifle likes 18.2 grains. The other likes 18. I do use two different cases for each rifle and I think that is the factor. The 18.2 grains is with Rem 221 Brass. The 18 grain load is with 222 Rem brass made into 20 VarTarg and it has less case capacity. I worked up to those loads but my lord do they both shoot incredible! After firing once I only neck size and have had no issues at all. Enjoy the 20 VarTarg. By far my most loved caliber.
