Not sure if this is allowed, but I thought I'd mention that Dan Cooper is online over at Accurate Shooter, answering questions and mixing with the faithful about Cooper rifles and related subjects.
Lots of good information has already been shared.

In spite of his political views, Dan is an encyclopedia of knowledge concerning Cooper history, including action designs, etc.
Hugo and his boys have put their own mark on the Company and they don't seem to have a lot of caring for the past. Probably a natural thing. JMO - BCB

JMO - BCB[/quote] That is often the case with many companies, when the original owner departs, even with some family members taking over, the same caring and value towards customers seems to fall off and the only thought is how much they can pocket in money.
