Default 20 VT Powders

Now that I have my sizing die figured out which I posted on the small caliber discussion board, I need some loads to try. I have the 32 grain Nosler Varmagedon and 32 grain Sierra Blitzking to try. What powders and how much for these bullets? I currently have IMR 4198, H4198, H322, RL7 (a little bit), IMR 4227, LilGun, VV130, VV133. Any other must try powers and loads?

Day in, day out. The two best powders for the 20VT, that most seem to use are R10 and/or AA2200. With both the 32 or 39 grain bullets.
Start with start load and work up slow to close to max loads in your rifle, go by the loading data on some of the loading manuals. Bill K

I started with H4198 about 15 years ago and haven't seen a reason to change. I was using CCI400 primers when I started but switched to Rem 7 1/2's and backed off my powder charge after I pierced a couple CCI's. Still got good velocity and accuracy with both 32 and 39 gr bullets

"I started with H4198 about 15 years ago and haven't seen a reason to change".

Work it then work it some more.
Everybody has 20 + different powders on the shelf because someone else shot bug holes with it and none of those REALLY got a work out?
Get one powder, work it till you can't get anymore out of it.
I'am a big fan of Accurate Arms powders. Back in the day, I went thru about 40 pounds AA 2230C till it wasn't available any more then, went to AA 2230.
40 pounds??? Gas guns eat LOTS of powder. And at about $85.00 for 8 pounds? You couldn't go wrong.

AA 2230 works in just about everything.
17 VHA
20 VT
20 VT "short"
.221 Fireball
.223
22 BR
6 BR
6.8 BR
6.8 SPC
20 TCM
And a few in between.

Don't have a 20VT, but I do have a pair of 221FBs (basic case of the 20VT), and both love RL7 and AA2200.

I'm with Bill K, AA2200 works well in 2-20VT, 20SCC and 4 -17 badgers I have needless to say I go through alot of it. All with 7.5 primers also.
