Default .20 caliber bullet puller

I've been using one of those plastic hammers to pull .20 VT bullets. The shell holder is about done for (again.) What would be a better tool? I want to salvage the bullets.

I use the Hornady Lock-n-Load bullet puller. Have never had a 'problem pulling bullets.
Once you get use to it, you'll barely leave a mark, it any.

I use the RCBS puller with the 224 collet. Works perfectly. no marks on the bullet.

Ditto on the RCBS collet, although I use a 20 caliber collet.

If you are using the segmented shell holder thing... just put a regular shell holder in it's place. Works very well but I also use and recommend a collet style. Hornady and RCBS work well.

Hate the hammer pullers, hate the collet pullers - love these.

Place the cartridge in the shell holder, run it out the top of the press- grab the bullet with the little wire stripper cuttouts and back the case down. Done - fast, easy and the little nicks do not effect the accuracy or loading of the bullets - 'pulled' give the same accuracy as fresh out of the box. The type like the white handled ones, with the step-down handles sit flat on the top of the press hole- but the others work just as well.

Most of the inertia hammers can use a standard shell holder instead of the 3jaw thingy, you know?

The inertia pullers are the easiest on the bullet. Problem is, the lightweight bullets many of us use just don't generate much inertia!
