Default 218 bee ammo

I stopped by Cabela's in Wichita Ks yesterday afternoon. And they had 3 new boxes of Winchester 218 Bee 46gr HP`S. In the Knife section. The price was just $89.99 per box. I thought someone here might want to know.

That’s pretty spendy!
I remember buying all the 218 Bee Gart brothers had on close out for $10.99 per box of 50,it was marked at $50- a box in 1996.Thankfully I found a Ruger number 1 to go with it later on

I bought my 218 BEE a Model 43 WIN in 1963. They had it mismarked for $40.00. That included the like new Rifle, Sling, K-4 or K-6 Weaver Scope, and 2 boxes of Win Ammo. 218 Bee Ammo cost me $4.25 a box in those day`s. I bought 2 boxes of shells most every friday until I got my supply of brass built up. And I thought that was very expensive then. I still have the rifle, and I still shoot it quite often. That little rifle is one of my favorite personnel treasures. IMHO The 218 BEE is still a outstanding light Varmint Rifle.

Just a reminder, Hornady is currently producing 218 brass for reloading. I have no idea about current availability where you might live, but perhaps a call to Hornady would shed some light if you need brass.

I just checked, Grafs has Bee brass in stock. That is what I use, it is good brass. After seeing the price of loaded ammunition, I will treat my ammo with more respect!
