WyoBull, I have used IMR 4064 in my Swift also, but I liked the IMR4320 better because it is a bit shorter stick, which works much better in my Dillon powder measures. To me, the burn rate for both powders is very similar. Thanks for your suggestion. I may have to go back to IMR4064 when I run out of 4320.

4320 and a 17 rem is what caused me to get started on ball powder. Tac for 25s and big game for for the 30s and I’ve never looked back.
That said I loaded up some of my old 4320 for my son in his copper 22-250 to see what it would do some odd years ago and it’s like one hole powder. Way OT but my son and his wife was here for thanksgiving shooting and I said try this old Cooper 6BR out. His wife takes a shot and smiled. I didn’t ask where she hit but said take another and be sure to aim at that exact same spot. She did and I said how many holes do you see. She said, well kind of one enlarged hole. Its like keep shooting until you have more than one hol in that target. Her husband had similar results.

Sounds like I need to finish off my 1/2lb of 4320 and continue to use IMR8208. It does do a nice job even in my 223.
