17HH ordered and delivery is close.
So now the treasure hunt starts:
Been looking at all of the standard suppliers (Midway, Mid South, Grafs) and can't find brass or dies. Cheap way to go is to use Wilson neck die and seater, but that inplies that I can find ammo. Any hints. Will drive me nuts to have a rifle and nothing to shoot! Alex |

Nothing wrong with Wilson dies.

Big Hint.......
...give up on finding factory brass, ...do become a bidder on GB for $1 ea. loaded factory ammunition,.... do consider a $45 double ended 17/22 form die from Bullberry, that reduces parent 22 Hornet brass down until final pass with 17HH FL die....I have a extra die set and some brass to get you started......rm

I happen to have 300 once fired Hornady cases I'd be willing to part with...

Loaded ammo is virtually the same price as brass, which I can find in small quantities, so I bought loaded ammo to shoot to make brass. Here in Canada I had no trouble ordering 500 rounds through Cabelas about 4 months ago. Still waiting on the gun however, which will ship from my dealer with Redding dies.
I have read good stuff on here about forming HH from Privi 22 Hornet brass so I will try that once I get the gun and dies. |
