I don't know if that's a good comparison or not CB. She looks kind of bumpy to me.

Joe, you're right, something wasn't right. We bought two of those newer Remington Model Seven Predators. I adjusted the first one like it was something I had been doing for years, everything came out perfect. The next one (mine) was total trash. You could take the adjustment screws out and lay em on the bench and it was still close to five pounds of pull. I cleaned i twith everything you mentioned earlier then some, lighter fluid, Gunscrubber, it was a brilliantly designed p.o.s. |

More on the Cooper adjustment.
There was a comment about the interaction in the Cooper trigger pull weight and the safety. The Safety is only effected if you change anything in the sear engagement.

You're right. After I re-read my post, that was a mispoke on my part.

How much does it cost for your "Jewel" to make a house and adjust my trigger??
Answer: 1/2 of everything if my wife finds out! Bob |

Trigger adjustment model 38
Are there any tricks other than turning the screws on a Cooper? I have two I need to lighten. I saw the post on Moly on sear. My dealer has some "trigger lube" he uses. He claims it makes a huge difference.
As far a Jewel trigger assembly, how much better can it be? I understand in a Winchester or Rermington. My Coopers are darn nice. One is under 1 pound with no problems and without creating an unsafe weapon. I have Jewel and Timneys and Jards in several rifles. Thanks, Bob |
