Default Federal primers

I've been wanting to place an order for some powder and Federal small rifle primers for quite a while now and neither Powder Valley or Midsouth have both in stock at the same time in like forever. At one point the primers were but not the powder...now it is the other way around. With the hazmat and shipping I am too cheap to place two orders.

I'd heard rumors Federal is plugging all their primers into factory ammunition at this point. Any truth to this? Anyone seeing any anywhere else at decent prices?

Would like to get some Federal match primers, but wow, those have been out of stock for so long I can't remember when they were in stock. Funny, seems like all other brands are readily available.

Since you cannot ship primers and powder in the same package you probably can just buy them from wherever you can find them for sale. Larry

I think you are wrong. I got this directly off the Midsouth website:

Powder and primers can be packed together on ground shipments for one hazardous charge provided the total weight of the order (including packaging) remains below 50 lbs.

And while my mind is slipping all the time, I'm pretty sure I've received packages with both powder and primers in them.

Default Federal Primers

Have had them shipped together on numerous occasions, most companies will put them together, so you can meet the sale/s when they lower the hazmat fee on powder/primers. And they will send them together so you only have one hazmat fee, the rest of the time. Bill K

Right on. Good price on primers and the powder I needed was in stock to boot (little more expensive then PV though). Thanks! Order placed.
