They can be stopped, but you have to know this version of vBulletin inside out to do it. Maybe its time you enlisted someone who can get it done. Just a thought.

Have you checked to see if vBulletin has a security patch that will stop it available for this version? Have you tried writing some filters to block them?

I posed it to my son, who's owns a computer company. He'll check with one of his techs who is a php specialist later today. If they come up with something, will let you know.

I am by no means an expert on computers. But can't you set the system up where you have to have a certain amount of posts before you can PM, or list something for sale in the classifieds?? I have received 4 PM's from 2 different names. And both of them only had a single post?? Tom.
