As it's moving along.
It's kinda like making sausage, it'll look a lot better later and it'll go places that'll pucker ya up. It's a real working truck that oughta look pretty good.

Oh yeah, just hope it ain't been raining up to that dog town like the time we went back there before. Sure run the rattlers out of the holes and made the road a bit sticky didn't it ? You're the only guy I know that that has taken a whizz right into a rattle snakes face .

Coming along great, going to look nice as can be.
I'm happy for ya! I like the color too. They going to paint the frame before the bed goes back on? First picture thought came to mind "he's been chasing too many coyotes". Thanks, that's what I was asking for. Glad you have the coins to finance it all. I couldn't do it. Am strongly thinking of having the trans rebuilt on my '69 C-10. Needs several other 300-$400 items. It all add's up fast on such a rebuild. Hope you can drive it til it wears out another time.

I seem to recall shooting rock chucks from the hood of that truck!
Nice job.

Daryl if I could have half a dollar for every chuck, gopher and badger that's been shot off the hood or out of the windows of that truck I'd be a real happy man . If that would include the ones Nancy and my friends shot too I'd be a "really" happy man. I believe this might look a bit familiar, first time you shot a .20 Tactical if my memory works at all and that was a rainy day too. Fond memory.

Yes, I seem to recall the hood is a pretty good rest.
Hope it turns out just as you wish. As to first gopher, I’m betting you let Nancy have the honors😀 |

I like resting across the hood in November and then head'n home with one a these in the back only I prefer the ones with trophy ears and no horns (yum-yum).
Bet there is dang few pickups owned by those around here that have had more of those in the box then that old turd (just kidding!). I've had that truck a long time and it's never quit on me. Body man emailed to tell me the paint oughta start going on next week . This first year or two it'll drive me crazy hearing brush slide down the side but that will go way soon.

It's always the first ding and scratch that hurts the most.
I'm guessing but, don't know for sure. Did you buy it new? One time I was on the way home from work about midnight and didn't see a car coming for some reason. Took off from a stop sign and nailed a 2 week old Mercury. The guy was three houses from home, I was three blocks from home. "As new as it is, you didn't get the cherry" he said. "Lumber yard guy backed a truck into it" HEY, I tried!!!
