T/C Contender
I have a Contender G2 frame but it didn't come with the stock screw, what size and length is this screw.
I'm sure I can buy one locally as opposed to sourcing one from the USA. Thanks Kiwi |

Not 100% sure, but I think the screws come with the stocks for carbines and with the grips for pistols. If not, you should be able to find the right size and length as a hardware item. The one I have on a spare pistol grip downstairs measures 2.720" end to end, and it looks like a quarter inch coarse thread. The cap part of the cap screw is around a quarter inch long. Hope you don't have issues with getting non-metric threaded cap screws, BTW.

T/C Contender
Give the Bellm's a email or phone call, they will know and also will have the part you need, in stock. ( Bellms TC) google them up. Bill K

They are 1/4 x20 SAE thread. I use socket head machine screws trimmed to whatever length is needed. There is a lot of thread in that receiver but you don't need more than 6 full threads. I stick a depth gauge or just a plain rod through the hole and mark there head will stop and add about .375" to that. seems to work pretty well
Hope this helps Lowell

I've been trying to source some imperial countersunk machine screws in NZ with no luck and freight on 3 screws from the USA just doesn't make it economical.............Kiwi |

surely you know someone with a lathe that can turn just one. Get a dozen boxes of such things next trip over. Am sure you make a list of such things before leaving home, right? Stay well and tell Shorty hi.

Or get a screw blank and cut your own with a die. I would guess a 1/4 x20 die wouldn't be too hard to get over there.
