caldwell deadshot field pod
Anybody use one of these for varmint shooting? Comments from those who do appreciated. What type of seating do you use?

Get a bog pod. Hands down better overall.

I have both and each has it's place. I use the bog pod as a bi-pod for calling and the caldwell deadshot field pod for ground blind work with my xp-100 pistol. bog pod is lighter but mine is not as tall as I would like.

I agree with what Aaron posted. I also have and like the "pig saddle". With my Manfrotto tripod and a 26" Walknstool (hard for me to sit on the ground anymore) I have a pretty portable and comfortable shooting platform.
(fyi-the Pig saddle is the steel/less expensive version of the Hog saddle--lighter, machined alum). Dave |
