Cool for a .17AH - prob. make just over 4,000fps. I miss the 15gr. Bergers.

Although I don't use them in my 17 hornets I still have a nice stash of 15 and 18 grain MEFs to complement my my 17 vmax and 15NTX stash.

As much as we have advanced in the 17 & 20 calibers (since I first started my 17 & 20 caliber quest) it's too bad some of the other bullets we once had are no longer available like they once was...

Default 17 gr Vmax in 17 Ack Hnt.....

Got a batch of these a half dozen years ago- took some to Montana's gopher fields. It SEEMED that although they splatter gophers nicely, the tried and true 20 grain Vmax .17 cal bullet gave noticably more 'splattage' (thanks for the term Montdoug!). We shot enough to know I believe as we shot both 17 gr and 20 grain Vmaxes side by side out of a few 17AH's we all brought along.
Just an observance of two weights of the GREAT bullet - the Vmax.

I agree Alan, the only 17 gr bullets out if my 17 hornets was for testing for another person who was wanting to know at what velocity they came apart beings they were made for 2600 fps... They surprised all of us!!

But then again some guys perfer the 25s in the hornet and I don't (not saying one is correct and the other wrong just the way I use mine). the 20s are awesome for the 17 Hornets!!!

Those 17/17s though are great for the smaller 17s (I use them in the 17 Squirrel, 17 CCM and the 17 short mag which is slightly larger than the 17 HM2)

Wait until you find some 15.5 gr NTX....
