That's good to hear and makes ever so much more sense . I've heard guys say it's the Montana State Rifle for how many of em ya see hanging outta both sides of a pickup trucks windows out in the pastures in the spring. I had a buddy got one the year before I joined the Corps in 66, we both thought it was the ticket! I'd be real surprised if it weren't the top selling .22 in the Country.
Wish I had a dollar for everyone of em Ruger's sold over all these years . Nice to know a lot more youngsters will get to enjoy one as many of us did as kids .

It is funny how reading comprehension, and maybe age-Ahem...., works.

I read the title post and a few of the replies before logging on to search for magazines. After getting a new to me Magnum action gun, I started ordering magazines that I need anyway, but with the thought they might be discontinued.

Just now I decided to scroll back to the first post , and NOW i see there was no indication magazines were in peril, but my initial read was " buy up ruger magazines", LOL.

Funny how my eye's, or the connection with what I sometimes read, and what my brain tells me, are narry the same. Glad I still know how to post "I'll take it" and how to pay for said goods, otherwise my kids and grandkids won't have a mess of toys when I pass them on, LOL.

What is sad is that it is a good looking rifle with a fantastic magazine. Too bad the trigger never got better and the accuracy was hit and miss, often the latter.

I guess the Ruger 10 22 is just like a modern Remington. All it needs is a new stock, new trigger, and new barrel and it shoots great. I sent my Ruger 10 22 to Conneticut Precision Chambering for the complete accurizing package. Put it in a Boyds laminated stock. Now it shoots well.
