Default 17 Mach2

You know if ammo for the Mach2 was available now, I would have owned this one http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums...do=ad&id=72486 .
And if I could afford both I would owned it anyway (2 kids and Christmas) bad time to be low on funds I guess. Nelson

Semper Fi Tim! .

Nelson I think your gonna love it! Those are a sweet looking rifle and as I mentioned above, I love CZ's set trigger.
Not sure how close any of your scopes are in size to the one on mine for comparison but it is a Vortex Viper in 4X12X40, course my barrel is large.
Post a picture when ya get it set up, good luck on the ammo!

Default Choices

I've had a 453 Lux for about ten years now (.22 lr), and I couldn't be happier. I love the single set trigger. It's accurate, easy to carry, etc. You won't be disappointed.

So which would you chose and why? 452, 453, or 455. Nelson
I have a LH 452 American. The biggest problem that I have with it is the incorrectly sized 3/8" dovetail. If that has been corrected on the 455 models that may use the 3/8" dovetails, I would consider that a major plus

Leopold Scopes, Forester reloading equipment and Victorianox knives.

I video recorded all of my Highpower Rifle matches. Pretty soon I am going to watch them all in reverse order so that I can watch those F Class guys GO HOME and leave us alone so that we can shoot Highpower Rifle.

BKL scope rings fit the 3/8" and 11mm dovetails on CZs and Anschutz but IIRC, the 453 heavy barrel varmint grooves are 3/8". Talley also makes 11mm.

Default Rifle shipped!

The CZ 453 Varmint 17 HMR should be here Tuesday . I put a Leupold VX-2 6-18x40mm on my 527 Varmint 17 Hornet and really like it for it's purpose. So I guess that I am going ahead and ordering another for the 17 HMR tomorrow, and I wanted to know if any of you have this combination and if so which rings seem to work best. Would like to keep the scope low but not have issues with the bolt making contact with the scope. Thanks for all your help. Nelson

I don't have that exact combo, I have Weaver Grand Slam 6X20X40's on a number of em with Millette rings (my good friend Alex hates Millette rings ) but they work well for me. I certainly agree with your scope choice cause I like a lotta power, ya can't hit em if ya can't see em.
Keep us posted how it goes .

I've used BKL with good luck.

Although all I have is high right now and I moved away from the big power scopes.
