I might suggest you separate/segregate your brass and your buddy's brass, then neck size that ammo for each rifle. I do that for several of my rifles, and that seems to work well for me.

How do I neck size only? I'm guessing I'd black the case to see how far I'm going?

Either back out a FS die some amount, get a genuine NS die or get a button NS die (think of a Redding F type die), which will use a removable button of desired size to adjust the neck OD of the case. I usually use a NS die, and only neck size about 80% of the neck. By only sizing a portion of the neck, it helps keep the case better centered in the chamber.

Thanks TinMan. Next round of tests will have crimped/uncrimped. I'm betting no need for it with the neck sizing.
Must admit I'm finding the differing info a right PITA. Case trim length/COAL/bullet seating depth etc etc.
I'm coming to the conclusion the only way is test test and test again with ones own rifle.
Couldn't get out much last year but all in place for some quicker results this year ready for those nice warmer days.
