lyman cast data
Its a little off topic but heres the thing.
Does anyone here have a lyman 3rd edition cast bullet handbook they can share info for 308 win, 30-30, 22 hornet, 223 Remington, 8x57 mauser? The 4th got rid of the pistol powder data for the rifle loads and I really need that, and the only 3rd edition I can find is running 170$ on ebay |

I have one, but I do not relish that much typing. Here you can find several copies for 23.00 or less

Not sure if what I have is Third Edition, it isn't marked as such, but it is copyrighted 1973 and is about the size of an old TV Guide. Also have the Lyman 45th Edition which has a lot of cast bullet data. I can get you the info you want, one way or another. PM to discuss if you wish.

Great help guys,
I got all my reloading gear last year, and the load manual I got was the lyman #4 because I wanted verification of all the pistol powder loads im finding on another website, and none of that data is in the 4th. |

The Lee manual has a mixture of jacketed and cast bullet data for most pistol rounds, IMO gleaned from other published load data, a lot of it relatively old data. It's OK for reference, but I think there are better sources. Have you checked out the Cast Boolits forum yet? Lots of interesting stuff, not necessarily "gospel," but good food for thought, on there. LoadData on the internet is also a good source for data mining. Were you possibly looking for data for a specific pistol round.-? |
