Using the 70 grain Blitzkings certainly makes it a Varmint rifle! - https://youtu.be/Xx6NN4UDCV4

This combo still holds the record of furthest gut pile from varmint (you'll see it in the video).

Have fun on the hunt!

Ok did my homework. 25-223 was .020" shorter(1.74") which opened a larger array of bullets given the confines of the AR platform (ie. 2.26" max coal magazines....there are now mags from ASC and others that allow ~ 2.315")

There is a lot to like with these small 25 cal cartridges, I have what is called a 250Myra, you fellas call it 25 Copperhead, mine is on a Brno 601 action and I shoot 70gn Blitzkings and 75gn Hp Sierras, its a good little hunting rifle.

How does that compare to the 6mm on the .223 case? It seems they both run out of capacity once bullets hit 85 or 90 gr. Still looking to put a TCU barrel on my model 7.

45mm= 1.77165"
.223 case length to base of neck is 1.7598
.25-45 case length to the base of the neck is 1.76 - .020
.25-45 case is .0002 longer, so technically it is .0002 longer or or 1/20th the thickness of a blond @#$% hair, since your splitting hairs, so it is closer to 45mm, even though the 556X45 claims to be 45mm

Chigger:

You need to connect with Kenbro.
He did a lot of load development for this one.
He needed to make specs in order to hunt with it
in the UK. They can't own AR's, I'm not sure now
what the rifle was.

I have never messed with one. Yet I have a like new
reamer that's looking for another owner.

Currently shooting 75 grain v-max out of a necked up .223 case.
Grouping is starting at a easy 3/4 inch. (yes, work will be done to shrink that)

If the weather cooperates this weekend. Then I am anticipating to take it out for the annual bunny blast.

Any other folks out there playing with the 25/45 sharps? if so, hows it treating you?
how did the bunny shoot go?

Bunny shoot turned into a honey do day.
Wife figured I was needed to plant trees instead of shooting innocent bunnies.
No report!

The 70gr BKs were impressive. Cannot help but wonder what the splat factor there would be out a 25-06.

Has anyone had a chance to try the 70’s out on coyotes? Hoping they blow up inside, instead of softball size exits. Thx in advance.
