Default Jackets

There is a fellow on castboolits goes by pipe fitter, that has 2500+ jackets that are a bit small for a normal 22 caliber. He sent me a few, they will not take a .187 piece of wire. They measure .566 long, .223" OD, and .180" ID. Good price it seems.

.021 thick wall, pretty heavy duty. .566 will make light bullets. Looks like you would need .170 wire for the cores.

I think there may be a few issues with these numbers. The jacket should be about .220" before the core goes in. The wall thickness is a bit out there for a .224" projectile. Have you actually made anything out of them?

The fellow selling them told me of the size on the jackets, that's why I asked him to send me a few. They are as he measured and I measured the same.
