Default Dick's sales decline

Report on left leaning CBS News: Dick's phasing out hunting supplies.

https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/dic...ll-732-stores/

Like my ol' man used to say, "You make your bed and you lie in it".

Looks like they're dealing with a lumpy mattress.

No tears shed on this couch.

About three years ago I visited one of the new left leaning Dick's just outside Cincinnati along I71. I walked all over the store looking for firearms, ammo or even a fish hook. They offered nothing of the like. The profit is in imported clothing, not firearms. The shopper they strive to attract are fickle and follow fads. Soccer Moms.

Dick's recent Black Friday sale offered 25% off the entire store. Great until you looked at the exclusions. The list covered everything I'm interested in and one heck of a lot more.

Yep...That.

I stopped going in many years ago when I heard them asking a person buying a firearm "How many children are in the household?"

WalMart is also now on my "S List" for enacting their own purchase ages for firearms and ammunition.

Leopold Scopes, Forester reloading equipment and Victorianox knives.

I video recorded all of my Highpower Rifle matches. Pretty soon I am going to watch them all in reverse order so that I can watch those F Class guys GO HOME and leave us alone so that we can shoot Highpower Rifle.

Same with me. I hope even with the yuppie sale items and line, they go under. Bill K ( and as a side note, remember they are also owned or in cahoots with the Field & Stream stores/owners.)

I see the sentiment is running hi about dicks. just remember that the next time you whip out your CITI credit card (restricted loans to gun stores and credit card sales of firearms) I think bank of America did the same. how many have insurance with progressive or aarp (United healthcare). all should do their research before supporting the these company's. and the list goes on. local mall and Target store has sign no concealed carry, how many dollars do you think I have spent in there, zip.
