If you're up in Flag, then you probably did. He was a huge small caliber shooter and owned one of the largest reloading shops in the West here in the Los Angeles area. He has gone completely to airguns now and is an expert (as well as a damn good shot)!

Yep, I live in Flagstaff.

I invited him out to our Field Target comps but he said he was strictly a hunter, which is fine but it seemed like he was content to stay to himself.

I wouldn't mind having a air rifle shooting friend to hunt with for sure.

I'm using JSB 16 and 18 traveling 900-950fps. I have the power turned down to 30 flbs.

My gun shoots the 16s a little better, which is unusual. My Royal is about 3 years old and has the smooth twist barrel in 22 cal.

I bought it and all my accessories at Airgun Of Arizona, AOA, also.

Great shooting rifle, I have some targets shot at 30 yds.

He's a hunt by himself kind of guy. I've hunted with him only a few times and I've known him for 25+ years.

I might be heading that way in a couple of months to go after some rabbits. If you want to join me, let me know!

You have peaked my interest. I have a 30 yr old sheridan in .177 that has trouble hitting the barn door from the inside, but it used to be fun to shoot. 2 questions, 1) how much do these new pellet guns cost to shoot, and 2) How much do they cost to acquire?

Hi,

I'm glad we've peaked your interest.

The pre charged pneumatic's, "PCP's", start at about $300 and go up to $4500 or so.

The Benjamin Discovery is a decent entry level rifle and can be used with Co2 as well as compressed air. The Benjamin Marauder, is a step up and a repeater, is not a bad rifle either for the money.

Match pellets are around $11 a tin of 500. Good pellets make a huge difference in accuracy.

With the PCP's you have to buy a hand pump $200 or so or get a scuba tank and yolk.

Default More video at 75Y and 100Y

Hi Guys,

It's our windy season right now in Northern AZ but I finally got a morning with low winds and shot these two videos.

The same rifle that was used in the first video was used in the last two. I took a sighter shot on the spinner first in both clips.

See my first post in this thread and click on the pic to start the video.

Thanks
