I have a 17HMR, Lilja on a 77/22 action, fancy stock etc. Concerning the bbl, is it shallow grooved like the 22 rf bbls? I don't shoot it much anymore even though I've a nice pile of ammo so was thinking about the bbl for another cf project...........I'm thinking waaay too hard this late at night, that's for sure.

If your 17 HMR is accurate go into a prairie dog town in the spring time when the pups first come out. It wont take very long to shoot up a bunch of ammo.
