Default Cooper customer service

Just wanted to relay my recent experience with Cooper's customer service.
The bolt release button broke on my M21 and I was unable to remove the bolt. A quick call to cooper and I shipped it to them that day. They fixed the button and added a swivel stud (at my request) at no charge. Turn around was about one week (very impressed). Great communications and a pleasure to do business with. With rifles this good, and customer service to boot, I see more in my future.

My extractor malfunction on my 38 20 VT. Sent it in and was expecting a wait of at least a couple of weeks. It turns out they fixed it the day they got it and sent back the same day.

Outstanding!

Default Cooper CS

My one and only CS experience with Cooper was completely positive. They went above and beyond.

+ One here too.

The same thing happened on my m38 20vt, I had the same great experience.
The only time I wasn't pleased is when I spoke with Mike, he was a bit arrogant. I avoid talking with him now.

I'll jump on board as well. I've had a couple of experiences with Cooper CS.

First time after buying a used model 21 that I later learned wasn't touching off rounds 20% of the time. Confirmed it wasn't a headspace issue and called Cooper. Sent the bolt out Priority mail and had it back the following week --- it had a short firing pin.

Second time after buying a new 21 VE that wasn't even making a primer indent. Called them, returned the bolt and had it back again the following week --- it came ftom the distributor with a broken firing pin.

Third time I was looking for chamber info regarding another new 21 in 20 VT. I called again, talked to the service tech and had an email that afternoon with the PTG reamer print attached.

Only positive here to say about Cooper CS +++

Default cooper

Anyone have experience purchasing a replacement barrel from COOPER.
How was the process, pricing and turn-around time.
Were they able to provide the new threaded/chambered barrel without having your rifle in their shop?

Good to hear they fix them so promptly, but who is paying the shipping in all this. I know Cooper no longer has a Canadian repair depot and wants them shipped back to them in the US. For us that would be about $95 one way. Even if the customer is only paying one way and it is within the U.S. that would be about a $40 touch for even minor service like replacing a bolt stop. If the customer is paying the freight both ways, that is a fairly big price tag.
