Default Sako Valuation please

Guys,

looking at a L46 vixen deluxe 222. Serial # 56384. Metal is perfect and the wood is 95%, a couple of very minor dings. Rose wood forearm tip, grip cap with fox head, Sako recoil pad, Acorns, etc. on trigger guard and magazine.

TIA for any input.

Aaron

Aaron,
Don't buy it, those Sako rifles are very poor quality They are known for their subpar accuracy and awful rough actions.

Stan

P.S. Send me the sellers info and I will dispose of it properly.

I think they were very fine rifles, overall. I would quess if you can pick it up for around the 800 dollar mark, go for it. Bill K

Looks like it was made between 1949 and 1962. Probably between '60 and '62.

I don't think you will touch them for $800. If they are %95 I am betting closer to $1500.

Could be, but that is on the high end, I believe. But it also depends on how bad a person wants one. Bill K

I've bought three extremely clean Sako Vixens in the past couple of years in local gun shops, all with period correct scopes and mounts also in excellent condition, and I haven't paid over $925 for any of them.....
