Default 20 Duster

I was the below link posted by JohnHenry in another thread and had a look

https://tripledeuce.net/Cartridge_Comparisons_0SJN.php

I was looking at the 20 Duster in that chart and managed to find the reamer print 2933 which is dated 4-25-2003 and attributed to Dan Clements

Who designed the 20 Duster and how come there are two different reamers?

Kiwi

Thumbs up Kiwi.......

I'm not familiar with the two different reamers, although I've long planned to build a 20 Duster rifle using a Sako L461 or AI action.

But, I do know that Dan Clements.....aka DanC.....designed the cartridge.

I believe Dan had Kevin Weaver build his first 20 Duster. Kevin then came out with his 20 Bobcat, a "very close" copy of Dan's design. Dan came up with some really good designs.

Thanks for that info Kevin, it still leaves me wondering where the other version came from.

I also plan to build a 20 Duster, I have the reamer and a fl die from CH. I have been wondering if it would feed from a Interarms mini mauser action since I have a L/H action in the safe.

Default Have 3 Dusters...

My first was built on a BAT SV by Greg Tannel and the other two were Dans , both Sakos, one is a calling rifle the other is a light Varmint bench rest model for pd’s and such.Greg built those as well. Will have to ask Dan about any involvement Kevin had.I know #1 is Dans as the cases are 1.670”
I hope one day Dan my again grace these pages and perhaps speak of the Killer Bee series of cartridges as well as his Duster.
