I have had a Chrony Gamma Master for at least 12 or 13 years. It has 1000 shot memory, the remote display and a printer. I upgraded from a F1 Chrony which was the simplest I could get before that. It has been fine. The remote dispaly is much more readable and the printer that I would not be without. Shoot a string, do the statistics and print out the results and tape it into my range notebook with any load info and group results. Very little writing or writing copy errors. Automates the whole thing. I have shot from 17 Remington to 45-70 using my Chrony. It can be a bit touchy in some lighting conditions. It does not like to have direct sunlight shine into the sensors. You have to use the translucent white sunscreens in bright blue sky with puffy white clouds. Overcast sky is great. If there is a roof over your range, it might be too dark to be reliable on some days.

The only chronograph I have tested side by side with a Pact Professional complete with its internal printer that abuddy had at the time. Some some 22lr in a rifle and some 9mm pistol and both agreed within 5 fps.

Small bullets like 17's etc. can be tough for chrono lens too pick up so covering bullets with a black magic marker ink helps a bunch...

Bringing back old tricks may help newer shooters -

Something to keep in mind about printers.
IF they're heatset print, they'll fade out to nothing over
a few months, So make sure you get an ink print type printer

Good luck with whatever you choose.

A couple yrs ago we had quite a discussion about these things on here.
Might be worth your time to do a search for it and read those comments too.

Default I have a ProChrono

It does most of what I need. No option for remote display or printer though, so it's pretty basic. Easy to set up and does the stats for you, and has enough memory to store a lot of strings to bring home and put on paper if you need to keep them. I'd like something better, but for $100 it's been pretty good.

Neil, another member just listed a Pact chrono in the classifieds section. Might be worth a look.

I've had a Pact I since 1989 only time I ever had a problem with it was when I went in the range house and guy used it without asking. Shot it three times and left.

I've had both types. You will not be disappointed. One minute setup and one minute takedown.
