The Varminter uses a 2 piece base ,the others use a quarter rib . Which barrel contour are you using or model?

Default RUGER two-piece bases

I bought mine directly from Ruger several years ago. Maybe if you contact them, they may still sell the bases.

It's a 1S. Some sites list a weaver #12 but I am not positive that works for all contours.

Yes I have the quarter rib. I don't want to use it and don't want to split it. Rather have a two base system.

I really do not have a lot of new news but will share what I have on two piece bases for Rugers.

The No.1S and No.1B share the same barrel taper, ie 218 bee, 7mm rem mag, etc..........but not the 45-70. Basically a Shilen #4 taper on the commonality of S and B barrels.

Mould made some two piece bases for the standard barrel No.1 once upon a time, fairly recently too, but I perused the Brownells and Midway for them and come up without any finds. Multi position but a two piece and used the existing holes once the rib is removed.

Redfield probably made the nicest two piece set in my opinion, the SR#1-S, Redfield part number 512031. Long discontinued, but sometimes come up on GunBroker and Ebay.

Another solution is custom bases. The rear one is not bad to make up, but the front one on the curve has some difficulty to it.

As with most internet babble, the above I would checkout myself the best I could before laying out the cash............ FWIW...........

There are bases that clamp onto the rib positions, but you still retain the factory quarter rib.
